How do you transport your models to the game? I used to carry all my jetbikes and guardians in a standard GW model case and my vypers and grav-tanks in another case with neither fitting very well. The GW cases are great for figures and square like vehicles but Eldar vehicles are a different matter.
When looking for a new case (and I’ve been using the army transport case for about a year now) I wanted something that could hold all my models safely, along with room for a codex, papers, dice, tapes, etc. I was a bit skeptical since the AT case isn’t hard shelled but with the foam trays inside and zipped up it is plenty sturdy and the zippers have held up really well.
In the front two pockets I keep my templates, dice, tapes, and a calculator for victory points. In the top pocket is my codex, army lists, and other gaming papers. The first level of the case is jetbikes and guardians, second level is more jetbikes, stands, with the bottom holding my vypers and tanks.
What I really like about the setup is that I can lay out the foam trays in a line under the gaming table and as I take losses the models can go right into it. Setup and pack up is much easier and I’ve cut the foam compartments to fit my models just right.

This is one of the best blogs I've ever visited!
Congrats!
PALAVROSSAVRVS REX
wow! these all are so cool!
Hey, I've been reading your blog for about 2 months now, it’s actually been a large part of the inspiration to start my own Saim-Hann force, so first off, thanks for that.
I've found some of your taticas really useful and love the work you've done with your army, keep it up!
The reason I finally commented, I've been looking at these Army Transport cases recently too - not a fan of the GW cases anymore. Can I ask did you get the motor pool with the trays that it comes with as standard or make your own set up?
Joshua, thanks!
Sovietspace, thanks also. As for the case- I got it from the warstore.com and it came with the foam trays. Knowing how things fit now I would have swapped out the larger tank tray since they hold land raider sized models and gotten the next size down so I could fit two. That said, even as it is now I am carry 2000 points of Saim-Hann with all my playing gear no problem. Of course tray configuration will depend on your army- but for Saim-Hann it has fit my jetbikes and vypers perfectly.
Fred,
I have a Sabol Army Transport, i love it! i want to upgrade to the one you have though as my Nurgle Force will have more tanks than my Orks did and i think it'll give me more room.
i used to run around with a Charon case for my Fantasy stuff, it's great for infantry (which you've got quite a bit of when playing Orcs and Gobbos in Fantasy) but for anything else it's a little difficult.
anyhoo, i've yet to use anything better organized than my Sabol case.
